Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District hosts Earth Day clean up day for Card Brook and week-long roadside cleanup!
Earth Day is April 26, 2025 and the District is hosting a week-long roadside clean up and several events for the annual Card Brook clean up. The schedule and details are as follows:
Annual Roadside Cleanup
April 19th through the 26th
Location - Ellsworth
Get your gear - Special bags, safety information and snacks are available at Ellsworth City Hall for the week leading up to the Clean Up.
Call Public Works to have your bags picked up April 28th
HCSWCD has plenty of safety vests, call us if you need one 207-667-8663
Annual Card Brook Clean Up Day
Join us in beautifying a very important tributary of the Union River in Ellsworth.
Saturday, April 26
9am to 12noon
Meet at Hannaford parking lot in Ellsworth
Trash bags, gloves, safety vests, water and snacks will be provided
Lunch and Raffle held at Elks Lodge (317 High Street) at noon.
