Now open: Qualifications and Bids for 2017 season
The District is now accepting submissions for Qualifications and Bids for 2017.
We’re seeking statements of qualification and bids from individuals and companies for the following services:
Contractors for site work
Installation of design specifications thru contracts with HCSWCD when performing work under standards of Title 38 M.S.R.A. Section 420. Specifications include but are not limited to construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) for Residential, Commercial and Municipal projects. Contractors shall be certified by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection in Erosion and Sediment Control Practices.
Environmental Consulting services
This includes but is not limited to: 1. Recommending or inspecting sediment and erosion control best practices for earth-work in Hancock County. 2. Accurately diagnosing the cause of agricultural, forestry, transportation and development related erosion. 3. Recommending solutions to correct the erosion problem(s). 4. Inspecting and evaluating completed work for quality control.
Engineering services
Design and specify shoreline, steep slope, storm-water management or road-stream crossing requiring culverts or pre-fabricated bridges. Services may also involve overseeing construction during installation and certification that the final product will function as designed. Interested individuals must be familiar with designing and permitting stream crossings that meet Local, State, and Federal regulations including Atlantic salmon habitat areas and be licensed through the Maine State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers.

Also attached here is a Statement of Qualifications form. This completed form must be returned to the District by May 30, 2017 to be considered for the 2017 fiscal year.
